1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set forth the conditions for using the web analytics service "RevenueScope" (the "Service") provided by AltPilot (the "Company"). By using the Service, users (each a "User") are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
2. Definitions
- Service: the web analytics platform provided by RevenueScope (including the dashboard, real-time analytics, and the tracking script)
- User: an individual or corporation that creates an account and uses the Service
- Website Visitor: a visitor to a website operated by a User
- Tracking Script: the data-collection script of the Service installed on a User's website
- Session: a continuous sequence of browsing activity by a Website Visitor (times out after 30 minutes of inactivity)
- Event: a data point recorded by the Tracking Script (page views, purchases, custom goals, etc.)
3. Accounts
Use of the Service requires creating an account with accurate information (such as an email address). Users are responsible for the accuracy of their account information. Users must properly manage their account credentials and prevent unauthorized use by third parties.
4. Pricing Plans (Free Plan and Paid Subscriptions)
The Service offers a free plan and paid subscriptions (Starter / Growth / Scale). The free plan provides access to all features for up to 5,000 sessions per month, without time limit and without credit card registration. If usage exceeds the free plan limit, an upgrade to a paid plan is required (handling of overages is set forth in Section 5).
- Upgrading from the free plan: When upgrading to a paid plan due to increased usage or otherwise, paid plan fees accrue from the time of the upgrade.
- Subscription cancellation: After requesting cancellation, the paid plan remains available until the end of the current billing period. After the billing period ends, the account transitions to the free plan and may continue to be used within the free plan limits.
- Fee changes: If the Company changes its fees, it will provide notice on the Service at least 30 days in advance. Users who do not agree to the revised fees may cancel.
5. Sessions, Usage, and Plan Limits
Session counting
Session counts are measured as the monthly total across all websites connected to a User's account. Sessions are measured on a real-visitor basis excluding bots (automated, non-human access), so the numbers may be lower than bot-inclusive figures such as those of GA4. Each plan has a monthly session limit.
| Plan | Monthly fee (excl. tax) | Sessions/month | Sites | Data retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | ¥0 | 5,000 | 1 | 14 months |
| Starter | ¥2,980 | 10,000 | 1 | 14 months |
| Growth | ¥9,800 | 50,000 | 5 | 24 months |
| Scale | ¥29,800 | 200,000 | 10 | 36 months |
Overage handling
- At 75% of the limit: We notify you by email.
- Above 100%: The dashboard is locked. Event recording continues and no data is lost.
- Unlocking: An upgrade to a plan that covers current usage is required.
6. Data Collection and Processing
Data collected
The Service collects the following data through the Tracking Script installed on the User's website.
- Page views and session information
- Traffic source information (referrer, UTM parameters, ad click IDs)
- Device information (category, browser, OS)
- Geographic information (country, region, city)
- Revenue data (automatically captured from dataLayer purchase events)
- Cookie identifiers (rs_visitor_id, rs_session_id)
Roles in data processing
Data processing under the Service is positioned as an "entrustment" under Article 27, Paragraph 5, Item 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (the "APPI").
- User (entrusting party): bears management responsibility for Website Visitor data. Determining collection purposes, informing visitors and obtaining consent, and responding to data subject requests are the User's responsibility.
- Company (entrusted party): processes data only to the extent necessary to provide the analytics service, based on the User's instructions. The Company does not use received data for its own purposes (except for the use of anonymized and aggregated data set forth in Section 9). The Company does not sell data or provide it to third parties.
Company obligations
- Process data only within the scope of the User's instructions and these Terms
- Implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures
- Not use received data for purposes other than providing the analytics service (such as the Company's own marketing or profiling)
- Cooperate with the User's legal compliance to a reasonable extent
7. Cookies and Privacy
The Service uses first-party cookies (rs_visitor_id, rs_session_id) for visitor identification and session management. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Users are responsible for the following on their own websites:
- Appropriately informing visitors about the use of cookies
- Obtaining visitor consent where required by law
- Fulfilling disclosure obligations under the amended Telecommunications Business Act of Japan (external transmission rules)
- Disclosing the use of the Service in their privacy policy
8. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not engage in any of the following when using the Service:
- Intentionally sending false data
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the Service
- Using the Service for illegal activities
- Sending fraudulent data by modifying the Tracking Script
- Mechanical access such as scraping, crawling, or bots
- Placing excessive load on the Service's infrastructure
- Using data provided by the Service as training data for AI or machine-learning models
- Using the Service's features to identify individual visitors (beyond the scope of the features the Service provides)
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights relating to the Service (software, designs, logos, documentation, etc.) belong to the Company. Users are granted only the right to use the Service under these Terms.
Tracking Script
The copyright in the Tracking Script provided by the Company belongs to the Company. Users may use the script solely for installation on their own websites. Modification, decompilation, and redistribution of the script are prohibited.
Ownership of User data
Data collected from a User's website belongs to the User. The Company has the right to use such data only to the extent necessary to provide the Service.
Use of aggregated and anonymized data
The Company may use statistical data derived from collected data through anonymization and aggregation (industry benchmarks, average metrics, etc.) for the purposes of improving the Service and providing additional features (such as industry-average comparison features). This use includes statistical learning and analysis using such anonymized and aggregated statistical data (improving analytical models and analytical accuracy, extracting cross-industry trends and patterns, etc.). Individual Users or Website Visitors cannot be identified from anonymized data, and the Company will not provide such data to third parties in any form that could identify a specific User or a specific website.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." The Company makes no express or implied warranty that the Service will operate without interruption or error, that it is fit for a particular purpose, or as to the completeness or accuracy of data.
Revenue attribution depends on external factors such as cookie validity, Website Visitors' browser settings, and dataLayer implementation, and therefore complete accuracy is not guaranteed.
Certain features of the Service (such as competitor keyword analysis) display estimated data — search rankings, search volumes, and similar metrics — obtained from third-party external data sources. The Company does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or currency of such data, and any decisions based on it are made at the user's own responsibility.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Company is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use of the Service. The Company's liability for damages is capped at one month of service fees for the month in which the damage occurred.
12. Cancellation and Account Deletion
- Users may cancel the Service at any time from the settings screen.
- After cancellation, the Service remains available until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided.
- The Company may suspend or delete an account, with prior notice, if the User violates these Terms.
- Upon account deletion, the User's account information and collected data are deleted within 30 days, except for information that must be retained under applicable law.
13. Changes to These Terms
If the Company changes these Terms, it will provide notice of the changes on the Service at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes agreement to the revised Terms. For material changes, the Company may separately request consent.
14. Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces
Users represent and warrant, now and in the future, each of the following:
- That they are not an organized crime group, a member or quasi-member of such a group, an enterprise affiliated with such a group, a corporate racketeer, a social-movement racketeer, a special-intelligence crime group, or any equivalent thereof (collectively, "Anti-Social Forces")
- That they have no relationship with Anti-Social Forces involving funding, favors, or otherwise
- That they will not, directly or through third parties, engage in violent demands, unreasonable demands beyond legal responsibility, threatening speech or violence, or damage to credit or obstruction of business through the spreading of rumors, fraud, or force
If a User breaches the above representations and warranties, the Company may immediately suspend or delete the account and terminate use of the Service without prior notice. The Company bears no liability for any damage the User incurs as a result.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any disputes relating to these Terms.
By using the Service, Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
